Overview
Gelecek Medya ve Gazetecilik programı, geleneksel gazeteciliğin sınırlarının kendileri için dar olduğunu düşünen ve kariyerlerini geleceğe taşımak isteyen öğrenciler için tasarlanmıştır. Program, teknolojik ve toplumsal değişimlerin kesişim noktasında çalışma fırsatı sunarak, gazeteciliğin sürekli olarak nasıl dönüştüğünü ve kendini yeniden icat ettiğini anlamak için disiplinler arası bir yaklaşım benimsemektedir. Program, gazetecilik, yeni medya teknolojileri ve içerik (metin, ses-görüntü, VR, AI) üretimi gibi becerileri bir araya getirirken, ortaya çıkan eğilimlerin analizi ve toplumsal zorluklara çözüm odaklı bir yaklaşım sunmaktadır. Eğitim, toplumsal sorunlara duyarlı, gazetecilik bilgisi ve uzmanlığına sahip medya profesyonelleri yetiştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Program, medya ve iletişimin toplumsal hayattaki etkisini eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla analiz edebilen, yenilikçi haber hizmetleri başlatmaya ve çoklu medya ürünleri üretmeye hazır mezunlar yetiştirmeyi hedeflemektedir.
The Future Media and Journalism program is designed for students who feel that the traditional confines of journalism are too narrow for them and who want to future-proof their careers by exploring emerging trends and technologies in digital media. The program allows students to work at the intersection of technological and societal change, acquiring an in-depth interdisciplinary understanding of professional practices and values, as well as the technological and political contexts of journalism as it constantly transforms. This program employs a multidisciplinary approach that combines competencies and skills in (a) journalism, (b) emerging media technologies, and © content (text, audio-visual, VR, AI) creation with informed analysis of emerging trends and a problem-solving approach to evolving societal challenges. It aims to train engaged media professionals who are responsive to societal needs, capable of critically analyzing the impact of media and communications in public life, and ready to initiate innovative news services and produce multimedia products.

The program nurtures an entrepreneurial attitude, equipping graduates with a wide range of qualifications, skills, and detailed professional competencies, from general understanding of societal processes to specific focus areas like journalism and media. Alumni will be qualified to work in media and communications organizations, research and training institutions, media monitoring bureaus, and market research companies. The Master’s Program in Future Media and Journalism also qualifies graduates for further studies, including PhD programs.
