Overview
Lisans çalışma alt programı “Rus Filolojisi“nin amacı, modern gereksinimleri karşılayan Rus filolojisi, dilbilimi ve edebiyat çalışmaları alanlarında akademik genel bilgi sağlamak; Rus ve Slav dilleri ve kültürleri alanlarında uzmanlaşma sunmak; ve Rus filolojisi alanında yüksek nitelikli, rekabetçi uzmanlar yetiştirmektir.
Çalışma alt programının görevleri şunlardır:
1. Öğrencilere, diller arası ve kültürler arası ilişkileri dikkate alarak, hem diyalektik hem de senkronik bağlamlarda Rus dilini, edebiyatını ve kültürünü inceleme şansı sağlamak.
2. Öğrencilere başka bir Slav dilinde ustalaşma seçeneği sunarak istihdam olanaklarını iyileştirmek.
3. Öğrencilerin Rus filolojisine olan ilgisini artırmak için, yalnızca dilbilim ve edebiyat çalışmaları alanında temel dersler değil, aynı zamanda kitle iletişim araçları ve kültür yönetimi, yayıncılık vb. alanlarda kariyer odaklı dersler de veriyoruz.
Öğrenciler Rus filolojisi konusunda temel ve uzmanlaşmış bilgi edinir, Rus dilini hem teorik hem de pratik olarak ve Rus edebiyatının tarihini ve teorisini geniş bir kültürel-tarihsel bağlamda incelerler. Öğrenciler, çeviri, düzenleme, konuşma ve yazma stili geliştirme ve yabancı dil olarak Rusça öğretim yöntemlerinde profesyonel ve pratik yeterliliklerini geliştirmek için ekstra modern Slav dili (Çekçe, Lehçe) ve pratik dersler seçeceklerdir. Plan, Estonya yüksek öğretim kurumlarında (Tartu ve Tallinn Üniversiteleri), Litvanya, Polonya, Çek Cumhuriyeti, İtalya, İspanya, Almanya ve diğer birçok ülkede Erasmus çerçevesinde öğrenci hareketliliğini öngörmektedir.
Program, “Letonya Üniversitesi’nde Letonya Ulusal Ekonomisinin Gelişimini Teşvik Eden Uluslararası Rekabetçi Çalışma Programlarının Tasarımı” projesi çerçevesinde oluşturulmuştur.
The goal of the bachelor’s study subprogram “Russian Philology” is to provide academic general knowledge in the fields of Russian philology, linguistics, and literary studies that meet modern requirements; to offer specialization in the fields of Russian and Slavic languages and cultures; and to educate highly qualified, competitive specialists in the field of Russian philology.
The study subprogramme’s tasks are as follows:
1. To provide students with the chance to study the Russian language, literature, and culture in both diachronic and synchronic contexts, taking into account interlinguistic and intercultural relationships.
2. To improve students’ employment prospects by giving them the option to master another Slavic language.
3. To pique students’ interest in Russian philology, we provide not only basic courses in linguistics and literary studies, but also career-oriented courses in mass media and culture administration, publishing, and so on.
Students gain fundamental and specialized knowledge in the subject of Russian philology, studying the Russian language both theoretically and practically, as well as the history and theory of Russian literature in a broad cultural-historical context. Students will select extra modern Slavic language (Czech, Polish) and practical courses to develop professional and practical competencies in translation, editing, speech and writing style improvement, and teaching methods for Russian as a foreign language. The plan envisions student mobility within the Erasmus framework in Estonian higher education institutions (Tartu and Tallinn Universities), Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Germany, and many other countries.
The program has been established within the framework of the project “Design of Internationally Competitive Study Programmes Promoting the Development of the National Economy of Latvia at the University of Latvia”
Programme structure

Graduates of the subprogram will be able to work in newspaper and magazine editorial offices, publishing houses, translation and interpreting agencies in Latvia and Europe, schools and colleges, radio and television stations, tourist agencies, and Slavic embassies and diplomatic missions. After successfully completing the subprogramme, graduates may continue their studies in the Master’s degree subprogramme “Russian and Slavic Studies” or any other related program.
